Cambridge University Press is to rebrand and reorganize its education division, in a move the firm characterises as an attempt to reposition itself for global growth.
CUP’s education publishing arm has been renamed the International Education Business (IEB). It’ll now report to the global education business, led by its managing director Hanri Pieterse.
Claudia Bickford-Smith will become director of the IEB, while Simon Read takes on the role of global digital and commercial director.
Bickford-Smith was promoted from her position as publishing manager for Europe Education, which she held for three years.
Read has worked for the group since 2006, most recently as a director for education.
Cambridge University Press publishes textbooks and software for primary and secondary schools in the UK and for international schools around the world.
