Tribal confirms major contract win
Tribal Group has signed its largest software deal yet, a contract with an initial value "in excess of" A$40 million (£27 million).
The contract, with the New South Wales Department of Education and Communities, will see the firm's student management system implemented in primary, secondary and further education establishments in the Australian state.
The Learning Management and Business Reform (LMBR) programme, whose lead manager is Accenture, will take around three years to roll out.
A research note from analysts Hardman and Co said that contract would add around A$4 million of income to the firm's annual income, and leave it in "prime position for future upgrades". Because it was based on existing technology, it would be relatively low risk to roll out.
The note added that the size of the deal would "give scope for an upgrade" to the firm's prospects in 2013.
