The Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) has awarded a £6 million contract to inspect schools in the Emirate to Tribal.
The three-year contract will see Tribal inspect both government funded and private schools, building on the schools inspections the group undertook for ADEC in 2011.
Tribal’s chief executive, Keith Evans, said: "We are pleased to continue our work in Abu Dhabi. This contract complements our school, college and nursery inspections activities on behalf of Ofsted in the UK, and confirms the value of our UK expertise and solutions to international markets.”
The group has also been awarded the Mathematics Continuing Professional Development contract from the Department of Education.
The contract will run until 2015, with the potential for a further three years. It follows on from an earlier contract, begun in 2006, and will see the group providing information, support tools, and advice to maths teachers in the UK.
Evans said the contract brings together the group’s “expertise in personal development and e-portal management, intellectual property in software, and subject knowledge”.
