James Croft appointed as EducationInvestor editor

EducationInvestor Global, the leading source of business intelligence for the international education investment community, has appointed James Croft as its new editor.

James will be known to many in the EducationInvestor community as the founder, now chair, of the Centre for Education Economics (formerly CMRE think tank), where he led on strategy and stakeholder engagement, notably through the development of the Centre’s executives’ forum and management of its communications.

As an adviser and contributor to government and regulatory policy; author/co-author of a number of the Centre’s research reports; and private consultant in his own right, James brings to Investor Publishing real insight into policymaking, politics and market reform.

About his appointment, James said he was delighted to be joining the EducationInvestor Global team at a key juncture in its development: “I have enjoyed a close relationship with the EducationInvestor community for several years, having written for the magazine, spoken at events, and judged the awards numerous times. The editor role is one that I have long coveted.

EducationInvestor occupies a unique position in the landscape of the education sector, with unrivalled specialist business information and an offer of crucial support services to advisors, investors and operators globally, from early years through higher education – and there is great potential for it to grow its reach and influence from among its core constituencies, and beyond.

“This is the right time to take forward Investor Publishing’s ambitious plans for international development. It will be a great challenge.”
