US: Quinn Evans Architects acquires BCWH

Quinn Evans Architects has acquired BCWH, which has an extensive portfolio of K12 schools, higher education facilities, libraries, and other civic projects throughout Virginia and campus planning experience across the mid-Atlantic states.

BCWH is a 34-person architectural firm founded in 1986 and based in Richmond, Virginia.

BCWH will remain in its current location creating a sixth office for Quinn Evans Architects. Charles D. Piper, a firm principal who’s been with BCWH since 1998, will be office director of the Richmond office.

Quinn Evans Architects president Larry Barr said: “We have worked closely with BCWH’s talented team of architects and landscape architects over the past two years through our association on projects for Virginia Commonwealth University. They offer deep expertise in the design of 21st-century learning environments, as well as libraries and other civic settings. We’ve admired their thoughtful approach to design and the strong relationships they have developed with their clients.”

Quinn Evans Architects specialises in planning, design, and historic preservation and is headquartered in Washington DC.
