Arco Platform, an educational software company that offers technology, services, and content from kindergarten to high school, has acquired Escola de Inteligência Cursos Educacionais, a large social-emotional learning company in Brazil, catering to more than 330,000 students in 900 schools.

The payment terms are: 60% of Escola de Inteligência Cursos Educacionais shares valued at 288 million reais, with 200 million reais to be paid at closing and the remaining 88 million reais in the second quarter of next year, and 40% of Escola de Inteligência Cursos Educacionais shares at 6 x 2023 actual cash value to be paid in the second quarter of 2023.

Escola de Inteligência Cursos Educacionais was founded based on the theory of multifocal intelligence, created by the psychiatrist, researcher and writer Augusto Cury. The school provides an educational programme focused on the development of social-emotional skills within the K12 school environment. The main goals of the programme are the self-management of emotions, development of cognitive functions, improvement of school performance and learning, and development of skills to build healthy relationships and manage conflicts. It also encourages entrepreneurial skills and creativity.
