Auckland-based New Zealand and Australian childcare and education centre operator Evolve Education Group has announced results for for first half of 2021.

The company’s loss after tax for the period was NZ$0.52 million (£0.27 million) compared to profit after tax of NZ$6.23milion for the first six months of last year

Revenue for half year was $74.9 million – almost 15% higher than the first six months of 2020.

Evolve Education Group’s managing director Chris Scott said: “Given the uncertainty about the quantum of support available in New Zealand and the length of the current Covid lockdowns, the board has determined that it is prudent to withdraw guidance for CY2021.”
