Ethics and compliance education and technology company LRN Corporation, backed by US buyout house Leeds Equity Partners, has acquired Ireland-based online learning firm Interactive Services in a deal, expanding its global reach.

Combined, the two firms will help more companies build and implement compliance programmes, making LRN Corporation a “leading global provider of ethics and compliance solutions”, the company said in a statement.

The transaction widens LRN Corporation’s presence outside the US. Interactive Services was founded in 1993 and the compliance e-learning solutions are used by millions of people, according to its website.

In 2018, LRN Corporation received a “significant investment” from Leeds Equity Partners, based in New York, to expand its reach and scale globally.

With Interactive Services intergrated, LRN Corporation’s offering will include hundreds of courses and educational products to help companies improve their compliance and workforces.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The US buyout house Leeds Equity sold cloud-based student information systems firm Campus Management Acquisition Corp and software platform Edcentric Holdings to Veritas Capital in January this year.

Leeds Equity invests in the knowledge industries, including education and training. It currently holds investments in Endeavor Schools, a group of private chools in the US, Fusion Education Group, which operates private middle and high schools across the country, and INTO University Partnerships, a UK-headquartered student recruitment and pathway provider.
