Independent school MPW London has acquired a historical building in South Kensington, London, to provide accommodation for more than 70 students and full boarding from next September.
Students aged 14 and upwards will be accommodated in Queen’s Gate House, which is being refurbished to provide en suite bathrooms, double beds and desks in all studio rooms. A large canteen will offer a diverse menu at all times and on the top floor there will be a sky lounge providing panoramic views across London, MPW said.
Queen’s Gate House, formerly known as Baden Powell House, was opened by Queen Elizabeth II in 1961, and was the headquarters of the Scout Association.
