International schools organisation Nord Anglia Education is opening a new school in Suzhou, China on 1 September.
Nord Anglia School Suzhou (NAS Suzhou) is the company’s tenth bilingual school in China and its 19th school in the country.
Having received its licence from the local Education Bureau, NAS Suzhou will provide an international school for students aged six to 18 on a campus catering to more than 1,700 students and accommodating 664 boarders. Students will receive a bilingual education based on China’s national curriculum.
Andrew Fitzmaurice, chief executive of Nord Anglia Education, said: “Our newest bilingual school represents another significant milestone for Nord Anglia given our long-standing role as an international education provider in China. Our students at NAS Suzhou will have access to world-class learning opportunities through our global family of schools and will be taught by our talented international and national teachers. We look forward to opening our doors to many new students in September who will experience the best in bilingual education.”
Nord Anglia operates 73 schools globally in 30 countries, educating 67,000 students.
