Campus Training, a portfolio company of Investindustrial, has agreed with Planeta Formación y Universidades to acquire CEAC, Deusto Formacion and Deusto Salud, a group of online education brands focused on employability and reskilling, Iberian Lawyer has reported.

The acquired vocational education and professional training companies offer around 100 courses to more than 14,000 students annually. CEAC and Deusto provide professional training courses, vocational education certifications (including multiple university certifications) and courses covering healthcare, crafts, business, technology and hospitality. The companies also have more than 3,000 agreements with corporates to provide internships for its students.

Campus Training’s founder Carlos Díaz said: “It has been a privilege to have completed this transaction with Planeta, a well-known group of quality businesses and services. We are delighted to have partnered with CEAC and the Deusto brands and to already having doubled the size of Campus Training since Investindustrial’s entry at the end of last year. We share the same philosophy and values in leading the change with the company, and I am confident that together we can further consolidate our leadership both at national and international level while continuing to offer first-class educational experience to our students.”

The transaction is expected to close by the third quarter of this year.

Madrid-based law firm Uría Menéndez advised Investindustrial on the deal.
