Bright Little Stars Nursery Group, situated in Northwest London, has expanded with the opening of its sixth nursery, in East London.

The new purpose-built nursery is based in one of Stratford’s newest developments, next to the QEII Olympic Park and provides modern activity rooms with high-spec facilities. It will create around 35 jobs in the local area and provide care for up to 75 children a day.

Co-founders Amol Devani and Rupeen Popat opened their first nursery in 2013, located in a renovated community centre in Mill Hill, Northwest London. They subsequently opened five more nurseries over the next eight years in Watford, Harrow, Stanmore, Barnet and Stratford, the latter two of these being during recent government national lockdowns. Across the six nurseries they now provide care for around 700 children and currently employ more than 200 staff.

Chief executive Devani said: “Despite the challenges over the past year, I am extremely proud of the BLS team who have persevered to bring our high-quality care and education offering to a new setting. We are overjoyed to open within a new, exciting and vibrant area and have been delighted with the feedback we have received so far from the local community and parents. We are always looking for ways to expand our portfolio as well as ensuring each nursery is managed and maintained to the same high standard.”
