The Old Station Nursery Group has acquired Bambino Day Nurseries, a group of three nurseries in Northamptonshire, providing care for children aged from newborn to five years old.

Bambino was formed in 2005 by Sharon Peach and Scott Roberts. The nurseries are located in Harpole, Little Houghton and Wellingborough.

Sarah Steel, managing director of The Old Station Nursery Group, said: “We are excited to work with the teams at Bambinos to learn from them, review best practice, and share our group ethos; we aim to inspire, nurture and innovate in order to create brighter futures, together.”

Peach added: “After developing Bambinos for approaching 20 years, I’m delighted that Bambino Day Nurseries will join The Old Station Nursery Group which is capably led by CEO Sarah Steel and the UK subsidiary to international operator La Maison Bleue.”

Established in 2002 by Steel, The Old Station Nursery Group today comprises 33 nurseries located across Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Gloucestershire, Berkshire, London, West Midlands, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Suffolk, Essex, and now, Northamptonshire.

The Old Station Nursery Group has grown considerably since its first acquisition in October 2019 and says it intends to expand further. In 2019 it was acquired by La Maison Bleue, a large childcare provider in Switzerland, France and Luxembourg.
