Higher education software provider Anthology has appointed three new independent members.

Boca Raton, Florida-based Anthology, formerly known as Campus Management, is backed by private equity firms, Veritas Capital and Leeds Equity Partners.

Dr Walter G Bumphus is president and chief executive of the American Association of Community Colleges. He has extensive community college expertise, having previously served as a professor in the Community College Leadership Program, as chair of the Department of Educational Administration at The University of Texas at Austin, and as president of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System.

Reid French is managing director of Essex Gate Ventures, a technology investment firm focused on business-to-business cloud software businesses. He has cloud software experience as a board member of Autodesk and as former chief executive of Applied Systems, and he is also a member of the board of trustees at Davidson College.

Dr Daniel Greenstein is chancellor of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and was formerly vice-provost of the University of California and director of postsecondary success at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
