Frontline Education, a portfolio company of Thoma Bravo, has acquired Forecast5 Analytics from Riverwood Capital for an undisclosed sum.

Naperville, Illinois-based Forecast5 Analytics provides financial forecasting, benchmarking, student performance and geovisual analytics software to the K12 education sector, allowing finance staff to track financial performance, benchmark historical performance, and develop scenario-based forecasts to predict financial needs.

The company’s tools enable district administrators to judge student performance, assess readiness and improve student outcomes. Forecast5’s geovisual analytics also provide a location-based perspective to help districts address complex challenges. The company has more than 2,000 clients across the US.

Malvern, Pennsylvania-headquartered Frontline Education provides K12 school administration software and services. Thoma Bravo is a private equity firm focused on the software and technology-enabled services sectors, with more than $73 billion in assets under management. The company is based in San Francisco and Chicago.

Riverwood Capital is a technology-focused growth equity firm with more than $3 billion in assets under management, with offices in Menlo Park, California, New York City and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
