For-profit post-secondary online education provider Perdoceo has reported third-quarter 2021 net income of $27.8 million, down from net income of $39.9 million reported for the third quarter of 2020.

Revenue for the quarter was $172.6 million, compared to $168.5 million reported for Q3 2020.

The Schaumburg, Illinois-based company also reported its results for the first nine months of 2021. Its net income for the period was $85.2 million, compared to $97.2 million reported for the first nine months of 2020. Revenue for the period was $530.2 million, up from $514.4 million reported for the first nine months of last year.

Perdoceo president and chief executive Todd Nelson said: “During the quarter, we continued to focus on serving and educating our students while adjusting our processes and continuing to prioritise academic outcomes and retention of our students. We also completed the acquisitions of DigitalCrafts and Hippo Education which expand our professional development and continuing education offerings, providing learners with valuable upskilling and reskilling opportunities.”
