Stride, an education company that sells online schooling and curricula for pre-K through to high school students, has reported net income of $71.5 million for its 2021 fiscal year, ending 30 June 2021, up from net income of $24.5 million reported for its 2020 fiscal year.

Revenue for the year was $1.54 billion, up from $1.04 billion reported for fiscal year 2020.

The Herndon, Virginia-based company also reported results for the fourth quarter of its 2021 fiscal year ending 30 June 2020. Net income for the period was $10.5 million, up from $4.9 million reported for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2020. Revenue for the quarter was $397.5 million, up from $268.9 million reported for Q4 2020.

Stride’s chief executive James Rhyu said: “By almost any measure, we had a record year, by a long-shot. We helped over a quarter of a million full time learners and millions of other users became interested in our programmes. Learning loss became the norm, except in the schools we matched.”
